Prifysgol Bangor University is based in the heart of North Wales with easy access to Eryri national park, Anglesey, Gwynedd, and the Flintshire coast. At the University, we also manage a 4*campus budget accommodation which is centrally located within the city of Bangor with excellent transport links. The accommodation is available all year round for external guests.
The accommodation consists of single ensuite self-catering rooms (no double rooms) which each have their own private bathroom that includes a shower. The rooms are based on the main university residential site on Ffriddoedd Road and are in ‘flats’ of eight which share a kitchen.
Although most accommodation is accessible, please do let us know if you have specific requirements so we can ensure rooms are suitable for you.
The accommodation is situated a short 10-minute walk from the centre of the city. The railway station is approximately a 10-minute walk and a 30-minute walk to Menai Bridge supported by excellent bus and train services, making the accommodation accessible with its location.
Included in the cost is linen and fresh towels and the use of the shared kitchen. We do not provide any crockery, cutlery, or kitchen utensils but you can bring your own cooking implements and are welcome to use the cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster.
Wi-Fi access is available in the room and if you are arriving by car there is free parking available for paying accommodation guests. A car parking permit is issued when you collect your keys upon arrival.

- Arrivals Monday to Friday: Please collect your room key from the Halls Office (Idwal building) on your arrival day between 4pm and 5pm. If arriving after 5pm, please collect your key from Security Office (No. 8 on map).
- Arrivals Saturday to Sunday: Please collect your room key from the Security Office (No. 8 on map) from 4pm onwards.
- Departing: Your key must be returned to the express checkout box located outside the foyer area of the Idwal block by 10am on the day of your departure.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received 2 weeks before the first night of your scheduled stay to be eligible for a refund. Any cancellations received prior to this will be refunded in full, less a £12.00 administration fee and will take 21 days to be processed. Please contact the office directly on the details below if you wish to cancel.
